Cortland Opera House (circa 1841)
Originally the site of one of the first Methodist churches in the country, it's now home to the Bazetta-Cortland Historical Society.
In 1987, the Opera House was acquired by the Bazetta-Cortland Historical Society, marking the beginning of a dedicated effort to restore and renovate the building. Throughout the past two decades, renovations have included the addition of central air-conditioning, a full-service kitchen, and in 2012, a new roof, gutters, and siding. Today, the Opera House proudly offers its space for various events such as graduation open houses, weddings, receptions, showers, and more, providing a charming and versatile venue for any occasion.
