Braceville Community Foundatin members, in collaboration with the Braceville Historical Society, want to transform a 1920s home on Cedar St. SW into a musem for African-American history.

Plans have been discussed to turn the old home into the Braceville African-American Commuinity Historical Home. THis home was originally the house of professional heavyweight boxer Earnie Shavers' family and is the third oldest house from the Great Migration era in Braceville.
