The YWCA Mahoning Valley is a non-profit agency on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, dignity, and freedom for all. In 2018, YWCA Warren and YWCA Youngstown merged to become one YWCA serving the Valley. Established in 1904 in Youngstown, and 1916 in Warren, the YWCA has over 226 years’ combined experience providing quality services and innovative programming to meet the changing needs of women, girls, and families in our region. Their staff and board members take pride in the history and longevity of their organization. They carry out their mission through housing with supportive services, childcare and youth development programming, empowerment programming, and racial justice & civil rights education.
