Suicidal thoughts, much like mental health conditions, can affect anyone regardless of age, gender or background. Suicidal thoughts, although common, should not be considered normal and often indicate more serious issues.

Coleman Health Services is hosting a free QPR Suicide Prevention Training (90 minute certification course) at Grace Fellowship Church on Tuesday, September 24 at 6pm. Certified QPR instructors from Coleman Health Services and Grief and Loss in Motion will provide the trainings and Celebrate Recovery and Broken Chains Ministries will provide additional support and information for this community event. 

Equipping our community with practical tools like QPR can make a significant difference in preventing suicides. QPR, which stands for Question, Persuade, Refer, teaches you how to ask crucial questions, persuade individuals contemplating suicide to seek help, and connect them with resources. This evidence-based training aims to empower community members, educators, healthcare professionals, and first responders to prevent suicide. 

This training is open to the public so please spread the word and join us in this important initiative shifting public perception, spread hope and share vital information to people affected by suicide.
