Event Details

This is a unique, FREE, three-evening workshop that takes participants behind the scenes of creating a dynamic art exhibition. From the conceptual stages of curation to the technicalities of installation, this workshop offers an inside look at the various aspects that make an art exhibit come to life. Designed for artists, curators, students and art enthusiasts, this workshop will provide invaluable insight into the processes behind successful exhibitions. Funded by the Ohio Arts Council and the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.

Taking place alongside the installation of Arcs, Angles & Sound: Tony Armeni Sculpture + students, peers and community at the Trumbull Art Gallery, this workshop is an exciting opportunity to engage with professionals in real time as the exhibition is brought together. Participants will experience the transformation of the gallery space, interact with the curator, and gain hands-on exposure to the various disciplines that go into creating an exhibition, from academic to community-based art. Along with the Curator Robyn Maas, brief talks will take place each evening with local curators, gallery or museum professionals, and artists from the exhibition.
