The Arcs/Angles/Sound exhibition, featuring Tony Armeni’s sculptures and artwork from his former students, peers, and the arts community, will be on display at the Trumbull Art Gallery from May 3 to June 27. The opening reception is on May 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and free to the public.
This exhibition pays tribute to Tony Armeni for his decades of work as an artist, educator, and musician in the Mahoning Valley. In addition to his visual art, Armeni performs music and hosts “Tony Armeni & Friends: An Experiment in Group Dynamics” at local venuesSound plays a transformative role in this exhibition. Curated by Robyn E. Maas, the exhibit encourages 35 artists to explore sound through artwork, either within the pieces themselves, as part of installations, or through visual representations of sound. Sound was not a requirement.
