One of Trumbull

local breast cancer survivor.

The 15th
Annual War Against Breast Cancer Raffle-Auction will be held from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. and will feature a Cow Patty Bingo contest to win up to $500, princess
performances, live music, food trucks, sweet treats, and an archery contest to
win free steak for a year. Admission and parking are free.

The Raffle-Auction
will boast more than 350 items up for bid, including 30 Days of Dining with 30
gift cards to popular restaurants, a Wicked Ridge M-370 Crossbow with ACUdraw, flat-screen
TV, wine and liquor-themed baskets, beauty session with a free full set of
lashes, designer purses and bags, tickets to concerts, comedy shows, family fun
parks and sporting events, toys galore and gift cards for shopping, gas and food.

General item
tickets are 2 for $1. Tickets for items valued at $100 or more are $1 each and
tickets for items valued at $300 or more are $5 each. Winners do not need to be
present for the 4:15 p.m. drawing on Sept. 27.

See a list of the
items and a link to buy presale tickets at

The Cow Patty Bingo
contest, which starts at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 27, will begin when a cow from
Zoo-2-Go Animal Adventures is led into a fenced-in area that has been marked
with a bingo-like grid and numbered from 1 to 200. The cow will pick the winner
when he leaves a present on one of the numbered squares. This year’s prize is up
to $500 and a Texas Roadhouse – Niles Butcher’s Basket. Only 200 tickets will
be sold. Cow Patty Bingo tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at
https://tinyurl.com/CowPattyBingoTickets until Sept. 26 or in person at
the Sept. 27 event until the bingo’s 1:30 p.m. start time.

An archery contest
will be held from 11:30 a.m. to noon on Sept. 27. Hit a bullseye to win steak
for a year from Texas Roadhouse. Each attempt is $5. Visitors can test their
archery skills for free before and after the contest.

Princesses from
Castle On A Cloud Entertainment will entertain guests from 10 a.m. to noon;
acoustic entertainer Solo Sixstring from noon to 3 p.m. and country and pop
classics by singer Jordan Smith from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Little Red Food
Truck and Stewart’s Smokin BBQ will be serving up fan favorite dishes all day
long.

The event, which is
sponsored by Texas Roadhouse – Niles, Hope Center for Cancer Care, the Howland
Hope Chest, Curtis Layer Design/Build and Realtor Darlene Kearney of Coldwell
Banker/Schmidt Realty in partnership with the Trumbull County Fair Board, will
help Stage 3 breast cancer survivor Colleen Case of Niles with her out-of-pocket
medical expenses. Colleen, a mother of two teenagers, faces thousands of
dollars in medical bills due to out-of-pocket expenses related to her aggressive
cancer treatments and daily estrogen medication.

The fundraiser,
which serves as a kickoff for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, is
being organized by This Means War Against Breast Cancer, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization formed to help breast cancer survivors pay their medical expenses.
The all-volunteer group has raised more than $200,000 for local survivors since
2011.

This year’s
event  – the 15th annual
fundraiser – also will serve as the group’s grand finale as the nonprofit plans
to wind down its operations following the fundraiser.
