With an abundance of locally-owned shops and restaurants, a rich history dating back to the early 19th century, and great nonprofits that make their home here, there’s something for everyone in this charming township.

Twisted Peacock
The Twisted Peacock Coffee Shop has been bringing specialty coffee and other treats to Vienna since opening in 2023. They aim to be a space to gather, with community puzzles, a game room, and plenty of seats for friends and family to sit and catch up. In addition to a full range of hot and iced coffee and non-coffee drinks (check out their fun menu of seasonal lattes!), Twisted Peacock also offers a full range of breakfast and lunch items, including paninis, oatmeal, bagel sandwiches, and pastries.
Route 193 Treats & Eats
Located in the former Dairy Queen, Route 193 Treats & Eats is a great stop for a sweet treat. Stop in for delicious soft serve, parfaits, sundaes, and milkshakes. Don’t forget to save room for their menu of hot food options, including tacos, barbecue chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and more.
Yankee Kitchen
Yankee Kitchen has been a Trumbull County staple since 1975. Visiting is like stepping back in time into the ultimate nostalgic roadside diner. The menu is filled with comforting classics like biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, pork chops, and meat loaf—but it also includes more modern favorites like buffalo chicken, Greek omelets, and grilled salmon. Don’t forget to save room for the made-from-scratch pies!
Second to None Café
Since 2016, Second to None Café has been a go-to stop for pizza, subs, salads, and wings. Whether you stop in for a quick pick-up order or dine in, you won’t be disappointed.
Candywood Wine Cellar
Unwind for the evening with a trip to Candywood Wine Cellar. Located in a century-old barn, Candywood is a premier destination for weddings and other events. Their restaurant is a great place to celebrate with friends and family. Try a wine flight if you’re in the mood for something new, or enjoy a signature cocktail. Indulge in a starter like lamb lollipops or buffalo cauliflower, then choose from their full list of entrees, steaks, flatbreads, and sandwiches. Don’t forget to save room for dessert. SHOP LOCAL
Once Upon a Bookstore
This wonderfully cozy used bookstore (which is housed in a reconstructed dentist’s office, but you’d never be able to tell!) is the perfect place to spend an hour. The first floor consists of several rooms filled with books for children and adults, organized by genre. One room is full of mystery and crime books, while another is dedicated to romance and women’s fiction. There’s even an alcove for cookbooks. Check out the recommendations shelf or pick up a “Blind Date with a Book” if you’re having trouble deciding what to read next. Once Upon a Bookstore also offers events like story time, book clubs, and bookish crafting sessions on the second floor.
Crafty Coop Gift Shop
This is one of the newest spots in Vienna, opening in June 2026. So far, twenty local vendors are set up in the Crafty Coop Gift Shop, with items ranging from candles and ceramics to wreaths, wood products, and other crafts. As you gear up for the holiday gifting season, be sure to stop in and stock up!
GIVE BACK
Animal Welfare League
Do you need a furry friend to keep you company? Consider adopting from the Animal Welfare League. Even if pet adoption isn’t in the cards for you right now, you can still support the AWL. Consider volunteering your time to help the animals directly or spend a few hours helping out at an event. Check out their Have a Hart Pet Store, located in the entrance of the shelter, for new and gently used pet products. Every dollar goes to support the shelter. The AWL truly puts the “fun” in “fundraiser”—check out their website for a list of upcoming events (Designer Purse Bingo? Horror Movie Bingo? Yes, please!)
Vienna Historical Society
The Vienna Historical Society, housed in the Copper Penny Masonic Lodge, is dedicated to preserving the Township’s rich history. Since 2009, they have diligently worked to document and preserve the graves at Dunlap, Doud, and Vienna Township Cemetery. Gravestones are uploaded to the FindaGrave.com database to assist with genealogical searches. Since graves in these cemeteries date back to the early 19th century, this is a monumental undertaking that makes a big difference. The Historical Society also maintains the Viennapedia website, a community project that showcases the Township’s history through photos, historical documents, historical maps, and records. On Viennapedia, you can learn all about everything from past industries of Vienna (did you know Vienna was once a major hub for clockmaking?) to details about former businesses and notable people, including veterans dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War.

Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport
Now for a look forward. The Youngstown-Regional airport recently began construction on an Aviation Education Center, which is expected to provide a unique education opportunity for those interested in aviation—right here in Trumbull County.
