The dedication of Courthouse Square Park took place on June 8, 1997. The park extends across

one and a half acres, featuring a lawn ellipse enveloped by a pleached hedge

of littleleaf lindens, along with brick walkways, teak benches, stone

retaining walls, and several landscape areas consisting of shrubs and

flowerbeds. In addition, a beautiful fountain, several historical markers,

and a statue depicting a Civil War soldier further enhance this stunning

park, which surrounds the Historic Red Brick Courthouse situated in downtown

Rockville.
